Here are the school supply lists for K-5 at Oak Grove
Elementary School for 2015 – 2016 school year.

Other School Supply List For Our Area


  • 2 – 3 boxes of Crayola crayons (24 count or whatever is on sale) *Walmart and Staples usually sells for $0.25 a box)
  • 1 pair of Fiskars brand scissors
  • 1 pack of #2 pencils
  • 10-20 glue sticks (please, buy extra while it is on sale…we use a lot!) *Walmart usually sells Elmer’s glue sticks for $0.25 for a 2 pack)
  • 1 box of Kleenex
  • Clorox wipes
  • Pencil box (5 x 7 size)
  • Backpack
  • 1 Clipboard
  • 1 Dry erase board (8″ x 10″ size)
  • Construction paper
  • Cardstock (any color)
  • 1 package Copy paper

:) Boys should bring a box of gallon size ziplock bags, a pack of colored pencils and one pack of four dry erase markers

:) Girls should bring a box of sandwich or snack size ziplock bags, a pack of washable markers and sharpie markers

 :) We highly recommend stocking up on glue sticks and pick up and extra box or two of crayons while they are on sale because we may request more throughout the school year.

  • 3 Spiral Wide-Ruled Notebooks

  • 2 Boxes of Kleenex
  • Small School Box (prefer plastic)
  • 2 Highlighters
  • Girls:  Regular Box of Baby Wipes
  • Boys:  1 can of Lysol Spray
  • 8 x 10 Clipboard
  • Ziploc Baggies:  Girls – Gallon Size/Boys – Sandwich Size or Snack Size
  • Girls:  1 Pack of Colored or White Cardstock
  • Boys:  1 Pack of White Copy Paper
  • Expo Markers
  • 1 pack dividers
  • One 1 inch plastic covered white binder

 *Your child should know his/her sight words, colors and color words, be able to count and recognize numbers to 120 and know the letters of the alphabet and their sounds.


  • 1 clip board
  • 1 dry erase board (8″ x 10″) and eraser
  • 1 packet of four dry erase markers (various colors)
  • 3 yellow highlighters
  • One packet of #2 pencils (to be replenished frequently throughout the year)
  • Large erasers or pencil topper erasers
  • 2 boxes of crayons (24 count)
  • 1 bottle of school glue and 8 glue sticks (Buy extra while they are on sale)
  • Scissors
  • School Supply Box (8″ x 5″ no larger)
  • 2 plastic pocket folders
  • 3 spiral notebooks (one subject, 70 pages and wide rule)
  • 3 large boxes of tissues
  • 2 containers of wipes
  • 1 packet of white 8″ x 11″ copy paper
  • 1 packet of 8″ x 11″ colored copy paper

Individual teachers may let you know of other classroom supply needs.

  • zippered pencil pouches (preferred over pencil boxes)

  • 1 pack of red grading pens
  • one box of tissues
  • 2 containers of disinfectant wipes
  • 1″ Binder with pockets inside
  • highlighters
  • Texas Instruments TI 30X calculator (can use in 5th grade also)
  • 24 pack of crayons (Crayola preferred)
  • 24 pack wooden pencils (no mechanical)
  • several dry erase markers for student use
  • small plastic school box
  • 3 ring pencil pouch
  • 3 pocket folders (any color/design)
  • 1 package of erasers (for the end of pencils)
  • 3 – 5 subject spiral bound notebook

Students may use a small canvas/mesh type backpack.  It should be easy to fold and fit inside a cubbie along with books.  We do not have a place to hang or put large stiff backpacks.

Please bring your supplies, labeled with your name, to school on the first day of school August 7th.  Please do not send anything that is not on the list.  We have very limited storage space.

  • 3 packs of wide ruled notebook paper
  • 1 Calculator – Texas Instruments TI 30X IIS (put your child’s name on this please)
  • 2 highlighters
  • 2 pocket folders
  • 1 package of erasers (for the end of pencils)
  • 1 subject spiral bound notebook
  • 1 container of disinfecting wipes

 ****Please DO NOT put your child’s name on their supplies except for their calculator, notebook, and folders.  We take the other supplies and put them in a storage container and pull the container when we are doing an activity that the supplies are needed for.
